It's not fair to compare the RS-X8 to your typical hand-held slingshot. For a start, you'll be loading up the tension by anchoring it down with your feet and then pulling up on the rear handle.
The frame and rails are made from SAE 304-Grade Stainless Steel. The trigger release and slingshot mechanism from 5052-Aircraft Grade Aluminum. The sliding mechanism includes four rows of internal ball bearings to ensure smooth operation during setup.
The BSA Optics 4-16x44 Tactical Rifle Scope is available as an optional accessory. The Picatinny rail is 20mm x 115mm should you wish to install any aftermarket scopes or laser sights.
If you're looking for a discrete slingshot that fits into your backpack, this isn't it. If you're aiming to take out a Cane Toad at 50m then this unit is a good place to start.
